Blue Elderberry, Sambucus mexicana

This large shrub makes a pretty sight when covered with blossoms in summer. Note also the berries. We photographed it beside the Jasper Trail in the San Ysidro Mountains south of the Montezuma Valley Road (County Road S-22).
