Meeting Minutes, 28 February 2009
1. Treasurer’s report: We have approximately $480 in the treasury. Expenditures since last meeting went for insurance ($174), plumbing materials for equipment sink ($184) and grit for equipment usage ($45).
2. Jimmy Smith from the Paleo group at the State Park will give a presentation at the next meeting about thin-sectioning of rocks. Presentation will include viewing some slide through a microscope.
3. The February 7th swap meet was cancelled due to rain. The next one is March 7th – Linda and John are planning on setting up again at that one. Anyone who what to join them at their site is welcome.
4. The next field trip (3/14/) will be to an old mine in the Banner Grade area. Details will follow via email.
5. The next meeting is Saturday, March 28th at 10:00 AM at the Nature Center. Feel free to bring any goodies for show and tell. We will also discuss where to go for the April field trip.
