Minutes for meeting held on Saturday, December 9, 2006
Location of meeting: Borrego Desert Nature Center
1. Election of 2007 officers:
- President – Jim Havens

2. Field trip schedule for 2007
- January 13th: Gypsum mine/alabaster
- February 10th: Quartzsite trek
- March 10th: Painted Gorge (Mecca Hills)
- April 14th: Halite/Gluberite (Salton Sea area)
- May 19th: McCain Valley
- November 10th: Wonderstone Quarry
Notice of field trip start times and meeting locations will be distributed via email mid-week prior to each trip.
3. Club meeting schedule for 2007
Unless otherwise stated below, meetings begin at 10 a.m. at the ABDNHA Borrego Desert Nature Center, 652 Palm Canyon Drive, Borrego Springs.

- April 28th
- The May meeting will be combined with the McCain Valley field trip – it will NOT be at the Nature Center.
- October 20th
- December 8th (2008 elections and trip planning)
There will be no meetings or field trips in June, July, August and September. The first meeting in the fall will take place on October 20th.

Next meeting is Saturday, January 27th at 10 a.m. at the ABDNHA Borrego Desert Nature Center, 652 Palm Canyon Drive, Borrego Springs.
