Anza-Borrego South: Indian Gorge and Indian Valley
Indian Gorge, which leads through the Tierrablanca Mountains to Indian Valley, is known for its Smoke Tree (Psorothamnus spinosus) forest. Indian Valley is known for the brilliant yellow flowers of its Spiny Senna (Senna armata). Both plants are Fabaceae, members of the legume family.
A trail from Indian Gorge can be hiked into Torote Canyon. A trail from Indian Valley goes to Mountain Palm Springs. From the end of the south fork of Indian Valley, it's possible to climb to Sombrero Peak.
