Earthquake Valley

Earthquake Valley stretches from Scissors Crossing south to Blair Valley. Some of Anza-Borrego's coldest temperatures are recorded here.

The settlement of Shelter Valley lies within Earthquake Valley. There is a privately owned public campground with facilities for horses. The campground has a small store.

The Pinyon Mountains, Vallecito Mountains, Cool Canyon, Granite Mountain, and Little Blair Valley may all be reached from Earthquake Valley. The California Riding and Hiking Trail enters the valley from Plum Canyon and goes south to Blair Valley.
