Among Anza-Borrego canyons, the three-mile Sandstone Canyon is a favorite, wandering northwest from Fish Creek Wash to a point out of the canyon overlooking June Wash. It can be driven, but it makes a very nice walk where you can move slowly and study the canyon walls and (in season) wildflowers.
