Anza-Borrego Central: Borrego Springs

Borrego Springs is the largest town in Anza-Borrego. Its center is Christmas Circle on Palm Canyon Drive where County Road S-3 and County Road S-22 come together. A prominent landmark is the peak in the mountains to the west known as Indianhead. To the northeast is Coyote Mountain.

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park Headquarters, Visitor Center, and Palm Canyon Campground are located in Borrego Springs. Also in Borrego Springs or within 5 miles of Christmas Circle are places to east, places to stay, and places for easy hikes such as Borrego Palm Canyon, and Little Surprise Canyon.

Destinations requring longer drives include Culp Valley, Coyote Canyon, Yaqui Well, and the Borrego Badlands.
