Henderson Canyon Road
The plants below were photographed beside or near Henderson Canyon Road from the Pegleg Monument about 2.75 mile west to the start of tree farms. Included are flowers photographed on trails up the side of Coyote Mountain.

Dune Evening Primrose (Oenothera detoides)
Onagraceae
The large green leaf on the right is a fast-growing Brassica
tournefortii (a non-native or weed) seeking to crowd out the Dune Evening
Primrose and other plants. The three tiny seedlings in the lower right are
also B. tournefortii. They will grow to full size in a few weeks.

Desert Sunflower (Geraea canescens)
Asteraceae
The leafless green branches above and behind the plant belong
to the non-native Brassica tournefortii (a non-native or weed) seeking to
crowd out the Desert Sunflower and other plants.
