Spanish Needles, Palafoxia arida
A single Palafoxia probably doesn't gather much attention. It is a slender erect plant which tends to lean over at it grows close to two feet tall. The flowers are small, pinkish, and hardly dramatic. But the sight of a field filled with hundreds of Spanish Needles yield an mpressive display of soft pink color.
Palafoxia is a member of the Sunflower Family, Asteraceae.
