Mule Fat, also known as Seep Willow or Water-Wally, is willow-like and found in areas expected to be moist, near creekbeds or canyon bottoms. This is a tall shrub, up to 12 feet

The photograph above was taken near San Felipe Creek in the San Felipe Valley Wilderness Area. The photograph below was taken beside Coyote Creek and shows a Paper Wasp, Polistes, on the left, a red Ladybug in the middle, and a barely visible brown Liorhyssus on the right.

Mule Fat is a member of the Sunflower Family, Asteraceae.
